Tim Carruthers {CEO}
Tim is the chief executive officer (CEO) at Neural ID. In his role as CEO, Tim is responsible for managing all administrative, operational and marketing related activities for the company. He is also responsible for managing the company’s finances and private investments in the company.
A dynamic and highly experienced entrepreneur, Tim has conceived, built and managed products for both consumer and commercial segments. He was a pioneer in interactivity for over a decade, breaking new ground in broadband applications, the Web and interactive television (ITV). Tim’s 25-year career has spanned media, technology and Internet markets.
Tim’s professional background includes founding Webcasts.com. Tim built Webcasts.com from the ground up and then in April 2000 the company merged with iBEAM Broadcasting Corp., a streaming media leader. After this merger Tim stayed on to run all broadcast and production services.
Before Tim founded Webcasts.com, he was the vice president of programming for the Computer Television Network, a cable channel dedicated to technology and learning. In the mid 1990’s, he worked for GTE mainStreet Interactive Television, overseeing all broadband and multimedia interactive designs. Prior to GTE, Tim was the senior vice president of the William Carruthers Company, delivering television programming to network and syndicated distributers. Tim was named one of the “Top Ten Internet Executives” by Electronic Media in 2000.
Tim holds a BA from the University of Redlands and is a member of the Directors Guild of America and the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers. When he’s not breaking new ground, Tim spends the balance of his free time with his son, composing music and enjoying sports and the outdoors.

Jeff Adams {CTO}
Jeff is the chief technology officer (CTO) at Neural ID. As our CTO, Jeff sets the company’s technology direction. He splits his time between research and developing real world products; with a primary focus on evaluating the future needs of our customers and the technologies to prototype product offerings.
Prior to joining Neural ID, Jeff was the founding CEO of Intensifi, a company that provides online audio communication that is linked to visual materials for sales, training and support applications. His work with Intensifi included creating the initial product for the company. Jeff also spent six years at Oracle, the world’s largest enterprise software company. During this time, Jeff worked in sales for the company’s leading edge products, as well as project management roles.
Jeff began his career at Hughes Aircraft, a major aerospace and defense company, where he worked on missile and torpedo guidance systems. He then spent five years at TRW working as a lead engineer in the Satellite Engineering and Test Division.
Jeff holds a BS from the School of Engineering at the University of Southern California, specializing in the areas of digital computer systems and electro-physics. His outside interests include board games, sailing, baseball, soccer, electronics and the understanding of the algorithms in use by the human brain.
Eric Schneider {VP Engineering}
Eric is our vice president of engineering and is responsible for the development, implementation and deployment of software and firmware products. This includes our Concurrent Universal Recognition Engine (CURE®), as well as the products and projects that use CURE® technologies for vertical market applications.
Before taking on the role of vice president of engineering, Eric managed a 40+ engineering team at Synopsys, a world leader in electronic design automation. Here he specialized in Optical Proximity Correction software that was applied to advanced semiconductor manufacturing.
Eric’s career started at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, CA, where he worked on the Voyager post-flight and Comet Rendezvous pre-flight projects. He went on to experience success in project engineering, lead and management positions in the Silicon Valley in industrial and consumer product development with major system deployments for Itron, Datacopy, Mitsumi, Liquid Audio, Numerical Technologies and Synopsys.
Eric holds a Masters Degree from the Stanford University School of Engineering specializing in analog and digital control systems. In his free time, Eric enjoys golf, woodworking and gardening with his wife and three boys.
