Mike Kelley

Director of Imaging and Automation

Mike is the director of imaging and automation at Neural ID. In addition to engineering responsibilities, Mike manages the capture of external sensors, signals and data into the CURE^® engine.

Mike brings over 25 years of invaluable machine vision industry experience to our team. This experience includes serving on the board of directors of the Automated Imaging Association (AIA) from 1999 to 2003, as well as taking on the role of president of the association from 2001 to 2003.

Mike’s professional background also includes being the director of JAI PULNiX’s Smart Camera business unit. Prior to this he was the director of sales and marketing for ESI, one of the world’s leading suppliers of photonic systems for micro engineering production applications located in Portland, OR. Before working with ESI, Mike was a vision product marketing manager for Allen-Bradley and a senior vision application engineer for Automatix Inc. He also worked as a research engineer for the Department of Defense and a manufacturing manager for Proctor & Gamble.

Mike has authored a number of papers and has been awarded several machine vision patents. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) from Purdue University. Mike is married with two sons. He has been a pilot for 20 years and is interested in experimental aviation. He is also involved with Boy Scouts of America and volunteers as an assistant Scoutmaster for his son’s troop.
